I DREAM at The Kennedy Center – 2nd February 2017
Opera Carolina – in conjunction with producer Bruce Long of Eye Opening Entertainment – staged an in-concert version of musical extracts from I DREAM on The Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., as a preview of a full, operatic production, which will premiere in Spring 2018 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s death. The performance was followed by a reception for Opera Carolina donors, prospective show investors and guests, who were able to meet members of the cast, including I DREAM’s Dr. King, Quentin Earl Darrington, currently starring in “Cats” on Broadway.
